by March 1 for consideration.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Bend High provides students with the opportunity to participate in an internationally-recognized, rigorous program of study for students that emphasizes academic excellence, international-mindedness, higher level thinking, and personal growth and reflection. Students taking IB courses are passionate about working at the top of their abilities and by the emphasis on connections between their education and the global community. Students have the opportunity to obtain college credit for strong IB scores on IB assessments.
We encourage all students to consider pursuing an IB Diploma or to take at least one IB course during their time at Bend High. Approximately 40% of our juniors and seniors are taking at least one IB course. Students have registered for over 300 IB exams in May 2013. This year 50 students (juniors and seniors) at Bend High are pursuing
an IB Diploma.
Six IB students planned a personal trip to
South America in Summer 2011 to visit
Venezuelan students who came to Bend
High in December.
