Science

Last week we started learning about speed and motion.  The students completed a lab where they had to figure out the speed and the average speed of a toy car. 

This week we are learning about velocity and acceleration.  On Thursday the students are going to complete a lab on acceleration.  They will be making accelerometers.  On Tuesday the students took a quiz on speed and motion.  The quiz was worth 10 points and if they received a 7 or below they have to retake the quiz on Thursday.

On Friday the 15th the students took a test on speed, motion, velocity and acceleration.  On Monday they will get their test back and they will use their notes to answer any questions they blank and/or they change any of their answers.

1/25-Today the students are going to complete a lab.  The lab consists of the students finding what kind of friction their car has.  They will be using a ramp and a toy car.

1/28-Today the students are going to finish the friction lab.  After they finish the lab they will have to a complete a lab write up.  The write up will be do Friday the 29th  

Language Arts

This last week we the students have been writing a two paragraph essay.  They were asked to write about an activity they enjoy doing here at school or they could choose an activity that they think the school should have.  The final draft is due Friday, March 5th.
