Databases

Databases collect published articles from newspapers, magazines, journals, and other sources.  Some provide materials from as far back as particular publications go.  Articles found in databases should be considered print sources, as they were, for the most part published on paper before they became part of the database.

Because databases are collections of materials that have been edited, evaluated, and published, they are a reliable source of information.

In addition to Gale databases, OSLIS provides information on the research process as well as MLA and APA citation makers.

SIRS contains articles that represent multiple perspectives on controversial issues.

World Book Advanced provides all the information you will find in the print version, plus links to other topics, video, images, and primary source documents.  We also have access to World Book in French and Spanish

Teen Health and Wellness provides information on all health-related topics.
Allows users to submit questions, and provides a hotline for students in crisis
